2018 poult report as of 8 June

I have 6 at the twin oak field.  They are about two weeks old this week and not able to fly yet.

One or more at kator Dunn plot looks to be a week old or so.

Bachelor field I FLUSHED a hen with 5 that could FLY.  They flushed like a covey of quail and flew towards swamp.  I have been unable to get any pics of them so far.

First turkey clutch of the year!

I would like to thank Mr. Peters formally of the NWTF(retired) who has been a big help when it comes to ALL things turkeys!

Memorial Day clean up for our resident soldier.

We planned on cleaning the grave yard, catching some fish and have a fish fry at the cabin. It started raining around 0730. We still did the clean up and placed flags but where not able to do rest because of rain. Thanks for all the help from my family, James and Brad.
God bless America and her brave soldiers that gave all.

2018/17 Deer report

Some of the deer that made it. The nice wide 9, target buck, was taken by a neighbor. I have pic but have not gotten permission to post it yet. Congratulations to him! Super nice buck. I never saw him in the daylight but James did and was unable to take him. It is my understanding my neighbor took him mid morning. Must be a smarter hunter than I. This first pic is my four year old 10 PT after shedding one side.

2018/17 Turkey update

These are some trail camera pics of our turkeys. We have increased the flock ten fold. After four years of hard work we will finally be able to take a few gobblers!

2018 rabbits

Here are a few rabbit hunts we had. Averaging around 20 per hunt and surprisingly a 50/50 ratio of cotton tails vs mash/blue tail.

2017/18 bear

This is the only bear to visit this year. It came in about a week before season ended. Finally came back the last day of season but I was unable to take it. Maybe this year.

2018 Cabin project

This is the latest project of mine. Generally building on Friday and Saturday. Should be done by summer.
